Profile

Philips specialises and has extensive practice in all areas of intellectual property.  He has appeared at all levels of the Courts, Trade Marks Registry and Copyright Tribunal.  He sat as a Deputy District Judge in 2020, and has been a contributing editor of the Hong Kong Civil Procedure for a number of years.  Philips is comfortable with the use of the Chinese language in court proceedings and has on numerous occasions conducted hearings in Chinese.  Philips also practises in other general civil areas and arbitration.
